1970s Collection Preview


In 1970 MATTEL opened the flood-gates on Hot Wheels products. Multiple-Car sets, Playsets and promotionals were just a few, Thru the 1970's Mattel made many changes, including card design, paint styles, multiple series, the advent of tampos and eventually ending the production of the REDLINE WHEELS. by 1978 the yellow and red Flame cards, the Buttons and the Redline Wheels were gone. The debut of the 1957 Chevy came for Hot Wheels in 1977 and was produced with and without Redline Wheels.
